Roofing 101

For standard asphalt shingle roof replacements there are several products on the market to choose from. They range in warranties from 20yrs to 50yrs and even a limited lifetime shingle. As the warranty increases so does the shingles thickness, weight, and appearance. Most of the shingles these days are a fiberglass/asphalt combination shingle, hence the term ‘composition’ shingle.

Mike was super friendly from day one. It took a couple of months to get started, but Mike was transparent about how busy they were. Wood prices also increased from when we signed the estimate, not Mike's fault, we can all thank pandemic for that (insert eye roll here), lol. The demo started on Sunday, and let me tell you, I have never seen such a professional, hardworking group of worker bees. They were in and out before I could finish my coffee. The actual roofing team was awesome too. Just a bunch of nice guys. Roofing was complete by Thursday, and Mike took care of the permits and city inspection. Our new roof looks amazing!
